The everyone’s sick and jetlagged, my husband is traveling, Benjamin is biting again, and I have no help this week blues

Please be forewarned; I am about to whine when I ought to be grateful. This post will consist of bitching about little things and will not end, as it should, with gratitude for healthy children, an income coming in, or even the fact that I have an au pair arriving tomorrow night (cue singing angels).

Eh, never mind. I just talked myself out of bitching. I’m such a killjoy.

  1. The occasional bitching is good for you. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

  2. Works every time…….for me too!
    Cheers

  3. I’m glad I’m not the only one who does this sort of thing. Often I sit down to whinge on my blog and then realise how much energy and vitriol that requires and I quickly lose the motivation.

I hope things calm down for you soon.

  4. Phew! I was all set to whine back at you. Glad your au pair arrives tomorrow!!

  5. Oh that’s funny–and I was all prepared to sit back and put my feet up & listen. I hope you have some self-nurturing things planned while your au pair is there.

  6. I want the bitching!

  7. I keep meaning to bitch, but the jet lag is keeping me from it. Oh, and now I must go to OT with the boy. some day I WILL write again!

  8. You are allowed to bitch. Or, in this case, to threaten to bitch. You sure have a lot on your plate.

Hope the au pair brings relief!

  9. I get a little suspicious of people who never bitch.

  10. If I told you that I redirected your au pair’s flight to Arizona and have stolen her, I bet I could get you to start bitching again.

I would never do that, though. Really. I swear.

  11. Like Lilian, I was all ready to relax into this! Bitching is good. Why? Because it gets all that negativity out of the soul. Bitching that is shoved down into the dark places and left to fester only comes out again at a later time in ways we don’t have control over. I’d rather bitch any day than end up unaccountably grumpy or passive aggressive or self-sabotaging. So this is all to say, you can be just whatever you are here, and I’ll still admire you.

  12. Cheeky Monkey

lol. Whatever works for you, babe.

  13. that was the shortest bitch session, EVER.
